Bewdley is a large, former country junction station situated high above the River Severn, on a flat area cut out of the hillside and is located only a few minutes from the attractive riverside town. The former double junction layout allows intensive timetabling of services, especially on Gala events, and features full double track running through the station.

All important is the authentic Great Western atmosphere, complete with original 1857 buildings including footbridge, canopy and goods shed. Many additional items have been collected during its lifetime such as a variety of platform barrows, trunks and suitcases, period cast iron lamp posts and the recently installed “Windsor” style lamps.
